  1. Thank you very much. Much appreciated for all your kind advice. I subscribed too.

  2. Out of all the Bangkok scams, the most lucrative, widespread, and successful is the riverboat scam.

  3. Such an informative video. Thank you for this. As a single female traveller I wanted to be a few steps ahead of any scams I might encounter in Thailand!

  4. I remember telling the taxi driver to "go the right way" then tried to tell him to stop so I could get out when he wouldn't comply, but he was driving too fast for me to get out. I arrived at my destination faster and cheaper than originally expected. I got lucky with this driver, and I felt awful for making a fuss about it

  5. Goshh, I'm not going… I'm used to many of those scams in my own country, but to have them in another language…

  6. All good advice, Cal, but I think you are referring to "touts" not "totes". And to those who have commented that they will never visit Thailand after watching this video, be aware that all of these scams can be found in almost every country around the world. Countries like Egypt, for example, are way worse than Thailand. If the existence of scams concerns you, go to the non-touristy parts of Thailand. It's a beautiful country and there are plenty of areas where you won't be bothered by scammers.

  7. What does Malaysia got to do with that bar selling fake alcohols? Lol

  8. Very informative.
I have 6 Rai (2.37 Acres) of land in Roi Et Province, Thailand which is not too far from the airport. I want to sell it If you have a chance married and settle here Or is there anyone who wants to buy it? I am selling because I have many pieces of land. And here I don't have time to take care of it and it is quite far from my house. The price is 1.5 M฿

  9. This guy talks too slow. 3 and a half minutes to partly hear one scam. It sounds like good advice but I haven't got 32 minutes

  10. dr strange from another multiverse given up fighting thanos and went to live in bangkok

  11. Most of the taxi drivers in BKK are scums of the earth

  12. If an unknown person walks up to you…Well, just shake your head and walk away.
    Sometimes I say: " Do I look stupid?"😂

  13. Pretty comprehensive. I thought I’d seen them all until I ran into the gasoline scam. This is when you go to a gas station (maybe in your rental car, or to fill up a canister) and fail to notice that the pump was not returned to ‘zero’ after the previous customer. The attendant then begins filling up your vehicle, beginning at whatever thb amount the previous customer ran up. It becomes a double scam if the attendant knows the amount you are expecting to pay for a full tank then only pumps until reaching that amount. Then you drive away with only a partially filled tank. Even if you notice something is wrong before you leave the pump, it’s hard to get out of your vehicle and argue that a crime has been committed.

  14. I'll just stay far away from Thailand, thanks, until such time as they clean up their act

  15. bar girls or massage girls , you never mention? any way, good content

  16. What about a ride to from BKK to Pattaya? I usually pay a set price of 1200 Baht. Is that a fair price?

  17. transportation: Grab, Bolt ( try not to rent scooter/ car if you are not a strong driver in BKK)

hospitals: stick with BNH, Bangkok Hospital and Simitivej Sukhumvit hospital (highly qualified physicians, professional medical translators).

services: Gowabi for discount coupon, leave if they are trying to sale extra services you don’t need.

Donation: do not donate to a random homeless families ( you are promoting human trafficking). pls google non profitable organisations of your interests.

If you are unsure about the services/fees, do not hesitate to ask the locals or your hotel staffs. They are usually happy to help. Remember as local citizens, we hate these scammers too. Not supporting them is the best strategy to end these charade.
